This policy explains what personal data pirkal.dev collects, why we use it and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain language: if something is unclear, write to us at hola@pirkal.dev.
Who we are
Pirkal is a software studio. We are responsible for the data you give us through this site. For any privacy question, write to hola@pirkal.dev.
What data we collect
When you write to us through the form: your name, your email, your company name (if you provide it), the project type you chose and your message.
Technical data about the submission: the IP address you write from, the approximate country derived from it and the browser you use. We use them to detect abuse and spam.
Where you came from: campaign parameters if the visit has them (for example, utm_source), the site you came from and the language of the page. This tells us which channels bring us inquiries.
Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures visits in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying you.
We don’t ask for or store sensitive data. Please don’t include it in your message.
Why we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and follow up on that conversation, including a possible proposal.
- To protect the form against abuse and automated submissions.
- To understand, in aggregate, which channels bring us inquiries.
We don’t sell or share your data, we don’t use it for advertising and we don’t add you to mailing lists.
Why we can process it
Because you give it to us when you send your message, so we can reply; and because of our interest in keeping the site secure. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
Who processes it
We use providers that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts the site, the database where messages are stored, the email notification and the visit statistics.
- Google LLC: the mailbox where we receive the notification for each message. It also serves the site’s fonts (Google Fonts), which means your browser sends it your IP address when the page loads.
These providers may store or process data outside Chile. We don’t share your data with anyone else unless a law or a competent authority requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as it’s needed to reply to your inquiry and follow up on it. You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it or to stop using it, under Chilean personal data protection law. Write to hola@pirkal.dev saying what you need; we’ll reply the same way.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use our own or tracking cookies. The site stores in your browser:
pk-tema(local storage): your light or dark theme preference, if you choose one.pk-origen(session storage): where you came from on this visit; it’s deleted when you close the tab.
Cloudflare may set technical security cookies, such as __cf_bm, to tell people apart from automated traffic. They aren’t used to track you or for advertising.
Security
The site only runs over HTTPS, so data travels encrypted. Access to messages is limited to the people who need them to reply to you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date above.
